Letters to God

We watched a really cool movie tonight at youth. Letters to God. Sick little 8 year old boy who has cancer, but such amazing faith in God. He writes him a letter every day and puts it in the mail box. He knows that God's reading his letters. He had faith that God was taking care of him. No matter what.
How unique is that?? Most people believe that there is a God, and believe in the bible and such, but we never really have a relationship with him. Huh. Now I'm only 15. Who am I to be talking?? I'm NEVER going to compare myself to someone else's faith, I'll tell you that right now. I learned this summer that your walk with God is YOURS. No one else's. I find it amazing that we have such a loving God. He never gives up on us. EVER. Not even when we push him away and run away as far as we can. He's always waiting wherever we go. Really, some days it's irritating how relentless he is. But comforting. How many people do you know that would go to the ends of the earth for you at the drop of a hat?! Jesus would. I love that Jesus was a person. With emotions, and feelings. He knows what we go through. Guess we can't say, "No one understands" anymore, eh? It's crazy, Jesus is STILL ALIVE!!!!! Yeah, he died on the cross with people making fun of GOD'S SON, of all people, while he died publicly. BUT THEN, three days later, just like he said it would happen, he rose from the dead. And he didn't die again! His daddy took him up to be with him, alive. ALIVE. I love that! And think about it, it's your fault that Jesus died. It's my fault, too. Don't get me wrong, I completely take blame. It's because we sin that Jesus had to die. "For the wages of sin is death", that means that when we sin, we deserve to die. But you know what Jesus did? He died FOR us! He was tortured and beaten and humiliated and made fun of in front of tons of people for YOU. For me. For everyone. How crazy is that?! How many of your friends would die for you? Probably none. Jesus is probably the best friend we'll ever have.
I'm NOT trying to preach at you. Not even. This was just on my heart. If you like what I have to say, I want you to keep reading, I'm not done talking. I'm definitly not always gonna talk about the same things. This is just the start. I really hope you like what you see here and keep reading, because I'd love for you to look into my life!
Without the mask,
Ariel
